The third edition of the THE LINE exhibition started yesterday and aims to showcase the urban designs of this innovative futuristic city in the Kingdom’s capital. The six-month event will be held at the Diriyah Biennale Foundation for Contemporary Art at JAX District in the historical town of Diriyah.

Showcasing the future

The exhibition aims to deliver an enriching and captivating insight into urban planning and the architectural features that will define what it will be like to live in The Line.

The Line itself will also focus on combining technology and people in harmony with the surrounding natural environment.

Sustainability

During the tour, visitors will be able to learn about the future of urban communities in an environment run completely on renewable energy, as well as learn about NEOM's methodology in applying the principles of sustainability and environmental protection. The exhibition will show how the city will promote a sense of wellbeing for residents and visitors.

Zero gravity

The exhibition will showcase the various facilities of this project, which will feature offices, schools, parks and residential facilities all within a five-minute walk. The zero-gravity urban vertical city will run in three directions – upwards, downwards, and horizontally on each side.

The 200-meter-wide space is 170 kilometers in length and will accommodate about 9 million people – completely unprecedented in cities of this size.

Free tickets and timings

The Line Riyadh exhibition will be open Sunday to Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., Thursday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to midnight, and Friday from 3 p.m. to midnight. Those wishing to visit the exhibition can reserve free tickets from The Line exhibition website.

The event runs until April 29.
